Where we are and how to find us
Located on the outskirts of town, at the end of a residential street with no through traffic, our “quiet location” is to be taken quite literally. Nevertheless, everything you need is close by: Schluchsee is just a few minutes’ walk away, past the tourist attractions in the town centre. Hikers, walkers and cross-country skiers are just a stone’s throw away from the forest paths, cross-country trails and mountain ranges of our wonderful low mountain range. Nearby, you’ll also find the Feldberg massif, home to the highest peaks in the Black Forest.
A81 Stuttgart – Singen:
Take the exit at the Bad Dürrheim motorway junction and follow the A864 and B27/31 towards Freiburg
A5 Karlsruhe – Basel:
Take the Freiburg-Mitte exit, continue straight ahead along the city motorway through the city tunnel onto the B31 towards Donaueschingen! Please note that you will need a ‘green particulate matter sticker’ to drive on the B31 towards Donaueschingen.
Von Zürich:
You’ll drive through the beautiful Surb Valley, cross the border at Koblenz and follow the B500 through Waldshut, Häusern and Höchenschwand to Schluchsee. The road is very steep in places, so in winter you must drive carefully and ensure you have winter tyres fitted!
You can travel directly to Schluchsee station by train. We’d be happy to meet you at the station and take you to the hotel. Please give us a call in advance.
Long-distance coaches in our region stop in Freiburg or Titisee; from there, you can take the train directly to Schluchsee. (See previous point)
